![]() ![]() The present study compared these actuarial systems along with two simple, one-point code systems with respect to the percentage of profiles that they classify and their validity within a college counseling setting. For the seriously disturbed clients who were classified, the relative accuracy of the diagnostic judgments from these systems must be assessed. The validity of them also must be examined. Determining the percent of classifiable clients is a necessary but not sufficient step in evaluating the usefulness of these systems. ![]() Those clinical systems that yield psychiatric-type judgments should classify a small percentage of the former type of client, but a very large percen- tage of the latter type of client. It is important to distinguish between clients who are ex- periencing temporary adjustment problems and those who have long-term serious emotional difficulties. ![]() However, within a counseling setting, results must be interpreted differently. The easiest means to evaluate these actuarial systems within a clinical setting is to determine the percentage of individuals who are classified: The smaller the percent classified, the less applicable the system. However, although some research is available that has evaluated these systems within clinical settings, almost no evaluative research on them has been done within counseling settings. Duckworth (1979) stated that she has drawn heavily from these systems in formulating her MMPI interpretative guide designed for use by professionals who counsel university students and mental health center outpatients. Although these four actuarial approaches were derived on hospitalized, psychiatric inpatients, they have been applied in counselin’g settings. Such manuals have been published by Marks and Seeman (1963) Marks, Seeman, and Haller (1974) Gilberstadt and Duker (1965) and Gynther, Altman, and Sletten (1973b). The actuarial approach for MMPI interpretation has resulted in “cookbooks” for the classification and description of MMPI profiles. The results indicated that (a) only the one-point code systems classified a large percentage of students who were diagnosed as neurotic, psychotic, or behavior disorder (b) the accuracy of differential diagnosis among these psychiatric categories was at a satisfactory level for both male and female students with only the Gynther, Altman, and Sletten (1973a) and one-point code systems and (c) the Gilberstadt and Duker (1965) and one-point code systems classified an excessively large percentage of students with minor adjustment problems as being neurotic, psychotic, or behavior disorder. ![]() Diagnoses were made on the basis of each of the code type systems. In addition, independent diagnoses were obtained on each student. Two hundred and five female and 207 male college students were administered MMPIs. The relative classification rates and diagnostic accuracy of four actuarial and two one-pointcode systems for the MMPI were evaluated. GREEN Auburn University Assessed the applicability of standard clinical interpretationsof the MMPI within a college counseling center. Continued use of original norms together with contemporary norms appears indicated until the full implications of profile and code type differences upon transformation to contemporary norms are understood.DIAGNOSTIC ACCURACY OF ACTUARIAL AND ONE-POINT MMPI CODE SYSTEMS WITH COLLEGE STUDENTS’ RAYMOND M. However, the substantial number of order changes in the scales that comprise the code type evident upon transformation highlights the caution and care necessary when one is interpreting MMPI profiles based on contemporary norms. Similarity in the code types of 94% of the profiles was found. Linear and contemporary normalized T-score profiles correlated highly with each other and manifested a similar pattern of correlation with Skinner and Jackson's (1978) three modal MMPI types. Results yielded the expected reduction in mean elevation and dispersion about the mean upon transformation to contemporary norms. A total of 34 MMPI profiles from both Gilberstadt and Duker (1965) and Marks, Seeman, and Haller (1974) were analyzed using contemporary normalized T scores. Changes in mean elevation, dispersion, overall configuration, and code type of well-defined MMPI profiles derived from diagnostic groups with known clinical correlates were examined after transformation using contemporary norms developed by Colligan, Osborne, Swenson, and Offord (1983). ![]()

![]() ![]() If there are certain incidents that happened for which you cannot recall details and others where you can vividly remember details, you may decide to only include the ones that you know you can testify to. ![]() Make sure you are truthful and accurate in your bill of particulars because any inconsistencies between what you include in the bill and testimony that you give in a deposition or trial can be used to damage your credibility and your case. Plaintiff estimates the entire attack to have lasted three to five minutes.” The Defendant suffered a broken nose as a result of the blows, along with other physical pain and bruising. These blows landed around the head, neck, and shoulder area of the Defendant. For example, you might respond with this level of detail for each incident: “On or about Decemat 7:00 pm the Defendant shoved Plaintiff to the ground in the kitchen of their marital home and struck Plaintiff approximately 12 times with closed fists. ![]() ![]() For example, if you filed a divorce action based on the ground of cruel and inhuman treatment, you may have just alleged in your petition that you were “subjected to cruel and inhuman treatment during the marriage.” The request for a bill of particulars may say: “Defendant hereby demands a bill of particulars setting forth the specifics of the alleged cruel and inhuman treatment.” In the bill of particulars that you write up, you will explain exactly what you meant by cruel and inhuman treatment, while keeping in mind what you can prove at trial, and the approximate dates that the incidents happened. You need to think about what it is that you need to prove to the judge in order to win your case and then explain in more detail the general allegations that you made in your complaint or petition. When you receive a request for a bill of particulars, you should first read it over very carefully and then read your complaint or petition. If a bill of particulars does not explain enough of the case to support the lawsuit, then the other party might be able to file a motion to dismiss the claim. Once you know what the other side is trying to prove to the judge, you can better prepare for depositions or trial. This way, the parties can start to understand what the other side’s “theory of the case” will be – in other words, what the party is trying to prove to the judge so that s/he can get the outcome and the relief s/he is looking for. If there is a complaint filed by one party and a counter-complaint filed by the other party, both parties may request a bill of particulars against each other. Usually, requests for bill of particulars are sent out before depositions happen, and before other forms of discovery, so that the other party has a more complete sense of the allegations against him/her. In other words, a bill of particulars is a discovery tool that can be used by a respondent to figure out what the other party is claiming happened. The respondent in a lawsuit might request a bill of particulars if the complaint has general allegations without getting into the specific details that would be necessary for the respondent to properly defend him/herself in the case. A bill of particulars is a written document in which a party has to explain the allegations in his/her complaint, or petition, in more detail. ![]() ![]() It's not from an ISP or a service provider. It's a general purpose broadband speed test in use since 2006.Since our founding in 2006, an unparalleled total of more than 35 billion tests have been taken with Speedtest." Wire the transorb in parallel with the lock power terminals.Īlso, to avoid ESD (electro-static discharge) from interfering with the operation of the keypad, ground the negative terminal of the keypad to earth ground. To prevent electrical kick back voltage from damaging the keypad, when using an electrical locking device, you MUST install the transorb as close as possible to the lock. Also, the voltage selection jumper on the main circuit board is no longer required. It is also possible to control the red and green chip LED’s externally, with an alarm panel for example, by using connector J1. The LED’s changed to surface mount chip LED’s mounted on bottom of the circuit board which eliminates the need for the wire harnesses. This product was re-designed using a new manufacturing technology, which changed the physical appearance of the keypad electronics. ![]() ![]() ![]() I used it to play through the Japan-only full retail version of Bomberman Blast recently and it was flawless - great to see even more improvements! They also made it clear some direct Steam Deck testing showed a clear improvement too with "Super Mario Galaxy (and a little of Super Mario Galaxy 2)" performing now "at full speed and 2x Internal Resolution without any noticeable slowdown". After sorting that, it was optimized even further and in their simulated Steam Deck testing they showed performance going from 85FPS to 140FPS. One game in particular stuck out with Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) not performing like it should, and they ended up finding something they were doing eating up a lot of CPU time which as it turns out was a regression from two years ago.
